Love Haiti initially began as a way to honor the life of Quincy Foster. Following a transformative trip to the beautiful country of Haiti, Quincy made plans to become a medical missionary.

Unfortunately, on January 1, 2015, during her junior year of college, an ice storm and an oncoming truck unexpectedly and prematurely promoted Quincy to heaven.

To honor Quincy's life, Quincy’s family and close friends decided to visit the area in Haiti that she fell in love with on that same year she passed away. Many connections were made and dreams shared during that trip, and a non-profit organization sprung out of it! When the organization began, we called ourselves “LQVE” - LOVE, spelled with a "Q," in honor of Quincy and the beautiful place that she introduced us to. While we have since changed our official name to “Love Haiti,” Quincy will always and forever be our origin story. We can never thank her enough for introducing us to our Haitian family. We love you Q and we miss you each and every day.
