In maybe my favorite quote about reading, author Franz Kafka said, "A book is the axe for the frozen sea inside us." The following are some of the sharpest axes for me these past few months. They don't all deal with grief directly. Some do. Others have helped me deal with concepts like doubt, mental health and the reality of heaven. I've needed every word (and more) to help me understand myself more in the middle of this chaos. I think ultimately one should learn everything they can about themselves... so they forget everything they can about themselves and focus on Jesus.
